You are an artist and would like to create decorative art using different materials like wood, fabric, paint and so on to create sculptures, altars and magical little hidden treasures for the festival? You have an idea for a nice art project for Blue Monkey 2023 that can be done with a mini budget and a small team within the 3 days of set-up? Then we’d love to hear from you!

Tasks

● Ideas for easy to realize art project for Blue Monkey 2023;

● Commits to implement it alone or with a small team between 31.7. and 2.8.;

● Able to source materials;

● After the festival deconstruct their artwork and store it safely for next year;

Profile

This role requires creativity, artistic skills, knowledge and experience to turn an idea into a 3D material tangible reality, knowledge about materials, where to source them and how to work with them.

Availability

Artists should be available between Sunday, 30.7. and August 8th.

Should be available during Team Weekend in Leuenberg 8./9..July (TBC)

Other information

● You will be part of the build up team and thus spend 3-5 days before and 1 day after the festival with the core team at our beautiful nature location in Leuenberg;

● Before and after work you have time to skinny-dip in the lake, meet with the core team during the meals and enjoy the beautiful nature in Leuenberg before the festival guests arrive on 3.8.;

● You will receive a free festival ticket, and vegan/ vegetarian breakfast, lunch and dinner during the festival as well as during the period of construction and deconstruction. Furthermore will you be part of the core team and are free to join our Team Weekend Camp (8./9.7.23 TBC).
