Karolina Darshan

The singer and yogini Karolina travelled the world to study shamanic music, singing and yogic/ tantric practices with different teachers and masters. In 2017 she started Blue Monkey Club in Berlin, a Conscious Club Event Series featuring Ecstatic Dance and Live Music. In 2018 she met Bertolt Schieferstein at Music School in India with whom she co-founded Blue Monkey Festival in Leuenberg near Berlin, Germany, in the following year.

In India she studied Hindustani Singing, Hatha Yoga, Yoga Philosophy, Naad Yoga (the Yoga of Sound) and Ayurveda. Her primary teacher was Nanak Dev Singh, one of the first yogis Yogi Bhajan instructed himself in Kundalini Yoga and Soundhealing with the Gong. Karolina looks back on more than a decade of Kundalini Yoga teaching experience.
Based on the transmission of her teachers and her own experience as a Kundalini Yoga teacher she developed Psychedelic Yoga™, a style based on Kundalini Yoga and different tantric practices. Psychedelic Yoga™ is practised primarily seated. Specific movement keys and focus points directly affect the glands, thus altering the chemistry of the body. The practice is not only profoundly relaxing and rejuvenating, it also can give you a psychedelic experience without any substance.
As a singer and musician, Karolina specialises in African and Indian music. She plays an instrument that is rather rare in Europe: Kora, a 21-string West-African harp. She also plays Harmonium, Srutibox, Piano, percussion, and channels Light Language and Divine Messages during her performances.
